Full immersion baptism can be arranged through the churches at Bethany Beyond the Jordan. Contact us at least 30 days in advance to coordinate with the relevant church authority. There is no additional fee, but a donation to the church is customary ($50-100). You will receive a baptismal certificate recognized by most Christian denominations.
Yes. The ceremony takes place in a designated, shallow area of the Jordan River with trained staff present. The water is calm and shallow (waist-deep). Non-swimmers are safe: you stand in the water while your guide reads the renewal prayers. You can choose to simply stand on the bank and participate without entering the water if you prefer.
